Tennis Ireland are delighted to invite you to come along to this year’s AIG Irish Open Tennis Championships presented by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council which take place at Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club from July 29th to August 4th.

Admission is free to this combined Men’s and Ladies event and spectators are promised a feast of international tennis at the South Dublin venue.

A top-class field is expected with prize money of $40,000 and valuable ranking points at stake during the ITF World Tennis Tour event.

Irishman Peter Bothwell will be trying to defend the Men’s Title he won last year and hopefully we will have further Irish success this year as our other top players are playing including Georgia Drummy and Simon Carr who won their first Pro tournaments earlier this year and Sinead Lohan who reached the final of the 2017 event.

A big challenge for the Irish players is the entry of Igor Sijsling from the Netherlands who has earned over $2m in prize money and was ranked as high as 52 in the world.

This year’s finals will also be broadcast live on TG4 from 3.30 p.m. on August 4th so if you can’t make it down with the family make sure that you tune in or keep an eye on our social media channels.
