VI Tennis: MayFest @ ALSAA

The programme is spear headed by Tennis Ireland’s ‘Enjoy Tennis’ group, led by Leinster Tennis Vice-President Liam O’Donohoe. The event was held at the ALSAA complex in North Dublin, and was attended by the President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins and Mrs. Higgins. Our main photograph shows Liam O’Donohoe (far left) chatting to the President and Mrs. Higgins about VI tennisrog. The game is played with a foam ball that contains a bell, and three bounces are allowed. Many thanks to experts in VI tennis Odette Batteral and Amanda Green of Metro Blind Sport in London, who travelled over for the weekend to successfully introduce the game to Irish players and coaches.
